ALDO TROVATO, M.D. became board certified in dermatology and dermatologic surgery in 1995.
Dr. Trovato received his Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from St. John's University. He graduated top in his class. He completed his Doctor of Medicine degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. An internal medicine internship followed at Mercy Hospital in San Diego, California. Dr, Trovato returned to the Medical College of Wisconsin to complete his dermatology residency. During residency, Dr. Trovato trained in Sao Paulo, Brazil, studying tropical dermatologic diseases.
Dr. Trovato then completed a fellowship in Mohs micrographic surgery and cosmetic surgery at Loma Linda University Medical Center in Loma Linda, California. Dr. Trovato established a solo private practice in Mobile, Alabama in 1995.
Although he is trained in all aspects of dermatology, Dr. Trovato specializes in cosmetic dermatology and Mohs micrographic surgery. For the convenience and comfort of his patients, Dr. Trovato performs all surgeries in his fully equipped office and laboratory.
Dr. Trovato is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Association of Physicians & Surgeons, the Alabama Dermatology Society, and treasurer of Mobile Catholic Physicians.
Dr. Trovato has participated as a principal investigator in clinical trials in acne, rosacea, warts, precancers (actinic keratoses), seborrheic keratosis, psoriasis, atopic eczema, hyperhidrosis, alopecia areata and neurotoxins for wrinkles.
Dr. Trovato is a clinical preceptor for the Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine.
